NewClear Neural
-UPCOMING-
NewClear Neural is an 18 foot immersive sculpture in the form of a faceted human head, illuminated with shifting light across its neural pathways. Blending art, engineering, and form, the work transforms the inner landscape of the mind into a shared visual experience. Light traces the surface of the sculpture, suggesting the movement of thought, memory, and connection. The illuminated crown evokes the activity of the mind while offering a beacon that draws people in from a distance.
NewClear Neural explores the relationship between human perception and technology. The piece translates unseen processes of cognition and emotion into something visible and collective. Situated at the Bayview Gateway, the work becomes both a landmark and a point of pause. It invites passersby to reflect on the complexity of the human mind and the invisible networks that connect us. In this space, the sculpture offers a moment to consider how we think, how we relate, and how individual awareness contributes to a larger shared consciousness.
This temporary installation is stewarded by the non-profit ReadyToPlayART, dedicated to creating joyful, interactive public art experiences that invite community participation and connection.
About the Artist
Gazelle Dasti is an Artist Engineer, Immersive Technologist, and Electroacoustic Composer whose work bridges art, science, and engineering to create large scale interactive installations that merge light, sound, and technology. With a BS in Electronic Engineering, an MSc in Technology Management, and an MFA in Digital Arts, she approaches creation with both artistic vision and technical precision.
Her work explores the relationship between human perception and technology, inviting audiences to connect emotionally and experientially through immersive and sound reactive environments. Gazelle composes and produces her own electroacoustic music and sound design for her installations, crafting sonic landscapes that deepen the sense of immersion and interaction.
Her large scale works, including the acclaimed NewClear Neural sculpture featured at Burning Man, transform public spaces into living systems of light, motion, and sound that respond to the presence and rhythm of life around them.
Guided by curiosity, innovation, and a commitment to human connection, Gazelle’s practice celebrates the meeting point of engineering, art, and sound as a language for unity, emotion, and evolution. Her work continues to expand across festivals, exhibitions, and public art projects that redefine the boundaries of immersive experience and collective storytelling.
