Be part of the largest urban sculpture trail in the world
100 sculptures. 34 miles. Free for everyone.
Big Art Loop is a public art initiative transforming San Francisco into an open-air gallery, placing bold, large-scale sculpture across 34 miles of the city. Built in partnership with communities across San Francisco, the Loop brings ambitious art into everyday public life and creates new ways for people to experience the city.
Sculpture for Everyone
Big Art Loop brings world-class sculpture into San Francisco's public spaces, free for everyone. The initiative sparks wonder, supports artists, and makes art part of daily life.
A Citywide Trail
From Sunset Dunes Park to the Embarcadero to the Bayview District and beyond, the Loop invites people to explore the city through art by foot or by bike. New sculptures are being added throughout the year.
Art With Impact
Big Art Loop helps draw people, jobs, and investment into shared spaces across San Francisco, using public art to strengthen neighborhood pride and bring new energy to communities.

“Big Art Loop will bring creativity into our neighborhoods, connect people through activated public spaces, and drive our economy.”
- Mayor Daniel Lurie
City of San Francisco
Built With San Francisco
We believe public art should be connected to place, shaped by community, and accessible to the people who live here. Big Art Loop is built in partnership with city agencies, neighborhood groups, and a growing community of artists. Every installation goes through established public review and approval processes, and is made possible by the generosity of donors who believe in the power of public art.
