Celebrate the Bay Lights -
Lite Up the Nite

Celebrate the return of the Bay Lights from the best vantage point in town, Big Art Loop - Portside! Walk with your neighbors between Pier 14 and Brannan Street Wharf as we marvel at the sparkling views on and off the water.

​Countdown begins at sundown (~ 7:30pm).

​Anchored by two sculptures on the Embarcadero, there will be art, music and surprises for the whole family to discover as we walk the between Mission and Brannan Streets.

​At Pier 14 - Corpus, by Michael Christian is a 16-foot steel sculpture exploring balance and emergence.

​At Brannan Street Wharf - Atabey's Treasure, by NiNo Alicea is an 18-foot fish, honoring the Taino goddess of water.

​Wear your lights. Bring your people. Celebrate our City of Awe, together.

Whispers of Waste Unveiling at RecFest

Celebrate art, community and the waterfront at the second annual RecFest.

Whispers of Waste, a sculpture by Zulu Heru, will be unveiled during RecFest at India Basin Waterfront Park.

Artist remarks and unveiling at 1:30 PM, followed by a Meet & Greet and photo opportunity.

For the ❤️ of SF: A Free Portrait Experience for San Franciscans

This Valentine’s Day, Big Art Loop is hosting For the ❤️ of SF, a free professional portrait session celebrating the people who care for San Francisco.

Portraits will take place inside Got Framed, the Big Art Loop-Portside sculpture by artist NiNo, located at Pier 7 on the Embarcadero. Participants will receive a professional portrait at no cost, as a gesture of appreciation and recognition for their service, creativity, and care for San Francisco. 

Walk-ups welcome!

• Dates: Friday, February 13 and Saturday, February 14 
• Time: 12-6 PM Friday and Saturday
• Cost: Free!
• Format: Digitally delivered individual or group portraits (teams, families, and pets welcome).

Located along the Embarcadero, Big Art Loop-Portside now includes more than ten installations, many within walking distance of Pier 7. While you’re here for your portrait, take time to explore the art along the waterfront.
